BMW X1 2018 Small Sized SUV

The BMW has launched plans of producing a new dynamic, elegant and glamorous BMW X1 2018 SUV. The original version of this model was launched back in 2009 and updated for the 2016 model year. The current version did not, however, record impressive sales record according to the manufacturer’s expectations. This is the main reason behind the manufacturer’s focus to upgrade it for the 2018-year model. The small size compact crossover features latest infotainment and super-dynamic performance.

The BMW X1 2018 is a small sized SUV with much resemblance to its predecessor though the manufacturer will introduce some interesting upgrades. The car boasts of a high aerodynamic power contributed by the lightweight aluminum design. This will also improve the car’s fuel efficiency. The overall exterior design is very classy with the variety of authentic details. The BMW X1 rides on aluminum alloy wheels. Its front part adopts kidney-like and a new bumper. The engine cooling will be enhanced by the new air vents which appear larger. When it comes to lighting, the BMW X1 2018 adopts LED bulbs both for the headlights and taillights. It will ride on 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels and the bonnet features raised margins.

When it comes to powertrain, the base engine that will be offered for the upcoming BMW X1 2018 is a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged unit. This is capable of producing up to 228 horsepower at 258 lb-ft of torque. It will be paired to 8-speed automatic transmission system that will be rooted to either standard front-wheel drive (FWD) system or an optional all-wheel drive (AWD) variant. The vehicle will be capable of delivering excellent fuel economy figures of 22 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway. It will take less than 6.3 seconds for the sprint from 0 to 60 mph.

The BMW is yet to announce the actual release date for this car. It is anticipating that will hit the market by the end of next year or in the course of 2018. The base price will be around $36,000 while higher trim models go for as much as $40,000. It will face competition from other upcoming new car models like Range Rover Evoque, Audi Q3 and Mercedes GLA.
