The popular manufacturer has decided to unveil its new 2018 Hyundai Elantra, just in time to compete against its closest competitors from the US and Europe. This latest model will be a mix between the 2017 Elantra sedan and a classic hatchback design. Also, the Hyundai claims that it will be much more athletic and that it will perform noticeably better. Many experts concur that this is expected since the upcoming Elantra will be noticeably longer, lower and more aerodynamic. Its styling has also been improved, so as to provide a much more aesthetic appeal.
2018 Hyundai Elantra – Exterior and Interior Look
The 2018 Hyundai Elantra is quite the looker, there is no doubt about that. The Korean manufacturer has decided to take a much more athletic approach when designing its newest car. Aside from being longer and lower, the Elantra also sports a good number of aggressive and elegant lines. More contoured and elegant sheet metal will be set off by a wider, cascading grille, which will certainly find its way to all the new Hyundai models.
When it comes to the lighting, the Hyundai has decided to equip the car with standard LED running lights, as well as optional full LED headlamps. On its top, the car will be distinguished by a more flowing roofline. This roofline elegantly resolves into a very smooth tail end, which integrates sleek rear lamps with an integrated hatch spoiler. A better integrated lower fascia is also included, so as to complete the look and add to the fluidity of the design.
The story with the interior of the 2018 Hyundai Elantra is quite similar to the previous models. It is still obvious that the Elantra interior design is heavily inspired by the Hyundai’s sedans. The design will offer maximum comfort, as well as convenience, but will not attempt to do something never done in the past. The Hyundai’s philosophy has always been to give the customers what they expect, not surprise them at every step.
Both new and old customers will find the insides quite pleasing, with full leather upholstery. Other materials will come in the form of aluminum, natural leather, and a bit of chrome. Potential customers will also find the tech equipment, provided by the upcoming Elantra, quite satisfactory. It will feature the Hyundai’s brand new AVN 5.0 infotainment system, alongside an 8.0-inch touch-screen display and the Blue link feature. Other tech gadgets will include a support for Android Auto-Apple CarPlay, premium audio system with Clari-Fi and wireless smartphone charging.
