The 2018 Hyundai Veloster has joined the list of the upcoming car models. The consumers have been eagerly waiting for this car and finally, the automaker has hinted on its production. Although the Hyundai is yet to provide full detailing, we are expecting the all-new Veloster to be a tauter machine than its predecessor. It is going to carry over the fastback-style physique. The front end gets new cascading Hyundai signature grille. Below the grille, there is a chrome line running through the car’s width. The headlights feature a pair of LED projectors with flanking turn signals. Furthermore, it ditches the long-hooked headlight design for a slender one that looks like the one featured on the upcoming i30 hatchback. However, the new model will be offered with a lightweight design featuring aluminum and high strength steel materials that promote aerodynamic performance and fuel efficiency. It rides on beautiful 17-inch or 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels.
As at now, it is really difficult to tell what is lying in the cabin of the 2018 Hyundai Veloster. The leather upholstering will be adopted for the seats plus some sections of the dashboard and the steering wheel. The spacious cabin gives the vehicle sufficient headroom and legroom. The car is expected to continue its engine line with its 1.6-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine. This engine is capable producing up to 138 horsepower and 123 lb-ft of torque. The powertrain will be mated to either 6-speed or 7-speed manual/ automatic transmission or Ecoshift dual transmission system. Its EPA ratings stand at 28 mpg for the city, 36 for the highway and 31 combined. The o-60 mph acceleration is estimated to be within 8 seconds.
