The 2018 Jeep Compass is being trailed somewhere in Europe and is expected to beat the Jeep Patriot and all its predecessors in many aspects like the swirly camo pattern and the kicked-up body line in front of the C-pillar. The 2018 Jeep Compass exterior appears to be more of a distant cousin of the Grand Cherokee or the Cherokee hence is a pavement flavor rather than the off-road type.
2018 Jeep Compass – Rugged Appearance:
The finished appearance of the automobile, especially the way the twin exhaust pipes are integrated into the skid plate on the rear is an indication that the car is ready for prime time. Its fender bulges give it a rugged appearance which complements its off-pavement look. The 18-inch aluminum wheels will ensure the Jeep has the best grasp on the road. Although the pyramid shaped pillars on its rear are not very eye appealing, its external appearance is both aggressive and futuristic.
The 2018 Jeep Compass interior is sufficiently spacious to accommodate five passengers comfortably. An instrument panel on the front part, which is logically simple to operate, aids the driver to conveniently manipulate many aspects of the automobile. However, for a more convenient driving experience, the manufacturer has equipped the 2018 Jeep Compass with a leather-wrapped steering wheel with several audio buttons.
The manufacturer has several standard features which will appear on every car but customers can always upgrade their automobiles to more customized versions. The power heated outside mirrors, a 4-speaker stereo to keep passengers entertained, cruise control systems, and an air conditioning to regulate the internal temperatures. Optional features for customization include a power sunroof, Sports SE Package, High altitude package (leather seats), an All-Weather Capability Group, and also a Freedom Drive II Off-road Group.
2018 Jeep Compass – Engine and Fuel Consumption:
The SUV will have a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine or a 2.0 turbocharged four engine mated with a nine-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission system. The 2.0-liter engine produces 158 horsepower and 141 pounds of torque. However, this engine will have a fuel consumption rate of 23 mpg on city roads and 30 mpg on the highway. The 2.4 engine will deliver 172 horsepower and 165 pounds per feet of torque with the consumption rate of 23 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway. This rates, however, vary depending on the type of transmission systems. With a towing capacity of 2000 pounds, the 2017 Jeep Compass will have sufficient power to pull relatively larger cargo than its predecessors.
