The Lexus cars have always been about style and class, and the 2018 Lexus RC F deviates no further from these standards. The car has received positive critics and it is mainly due to its sleek design, powerful engine, and engaging handling.
2018 Lexus RC F – Gorgeous Cabin and Attractive Design
From the outside, it is evident that the manufacturers went to great lengths to create a gorgeous cabin. A length of 185.2 inches and a height of 54.7 inches enables the car to maintain the envelope design of Lexus RC models. Other noticeable features include triple-beam LED headlights, a black grille, body-colored front and rear bumpers, approach lights, and accent painted wheels (19” x 9” front and 19” x 10” rear).
As for the interior, there is a lot to admire. The brightly colored leather seats at the front are spacious enough and they even have a power lumbar support. At the back, however, there is a great concern about comfort and space; there have been negative comments and most complaints suggest that the seats are not big enough for adults.
The entertainment compartment and the dashboard are pretty busy areas in the 2018 Lexus RC F. You will likely notice an LCD monitor, AM/FM radio, Bluetooth phone connectivity, dual USB inputs, HD radio with weather and traffic complimentary, Audio Theft Deterrent system, and a touch pad controller.
If you are the one driving, you may also note a hump on your right. It is nothing much except a small part of the differential’s housing.
The 2018 Lexus RC F has four engine choices. There is a 5-liter V8 engine that delivers 467 horsepower, a 3.5-liter V6 engine that generates 306 horsepower, another 3.5-liter V6 engine that puts out 255 horsepower, and a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that delivers 241 horsepower. As expected, the 5-liter engine consumes the most fuel in a highway (25 mpg) while the 2-liter engine uses the least (32 mpg).
When it comes to driving systems, the 2018 Lexus RC F is constricted to one option: the rear-wheel drive system. This is in contrast to the Lexus RC Coupe which comes with both the all-wheel-drive and the rear-drive systems.
Another limitation of the 2018 Lexus RC F lies in the transmission system. If you are the kind of person who enjoys manual driving, the 2018 Lexus RC F is not for you since it lacks an automatic transmission option. But its automatic system is equipped with a G-Sensor AI-Shift Control that helps drivers to select the most suitable gear while driving aggressively in Sports Mode.
This feature also improves overall driving performance and is quite capable of making a novice driver appear like a professional.
Price and Market Release
The new Lexus RC F is expected to sell at around $41,200. There is no official release date for the car. According to some rumors on the street, the 2018 Lexus RC F will debut during the closing stages of 2018 or during the earlier months of 2019.
