The 2018 Mazda 3 is soon going to hit the roads with better upgrades. The manufacturer is planning for a series of new styling as well as mechanical upgrades in the powertrain section. This new model is going to enter the company’s most recent offerings and will face stiff competition from the likes of Volkswagen Golf, Vauxhall Astra, Skoda Octavia, Honda Civic, Kia Forte and Ford Focus.
The manufacturer has not yet commented on the design features, we are expecting the car to feature elegant exterior and interior redesigning. It will be offered in three main trim levels including Sports Touring, Grand Touring and Grand touring.
2018 Mazda 3 – Beautiful Design:
The vehicle is not going to change much on its exterior. You should, however, prepare for some impressive updates especially in the front end. The front fascia has been redesigned with adaptive LED headlights and halogen fog lights. The 2018 Mazda 3 appears sportier featuring revised bumper a new grille as well as tweaked air vents for better engine cooling.
The Mazda badge appears at the middle top of the front fascia. The chassis has been made from a combination of lightweight aluminum materials and carbon fiber. The dashboard has been also upgraded with a 7-inch infotainment display color touchscreen. The interior equipment includes smartphone integration, premium air conditioner, automatic climate control, satellite navigation system and others.
The safety and driver assistance will be presenting adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring system, safety belts, quality airbags, automated emergency braking system, parking assists and others.
2018 Mazda 3 – Under the Hood:
The standard engine offered for the new 2018 Mazda 3 is a 2.0-liter four cylinder engine rated to produce up to 155 horsepower and 150 ft-lb. of torque. The acceleration for this engine is approximated at 8.3 seconds for the 0 to 60 miles per hour. There is also a possibility of a 2.5-liter –cylinder motor with the output capacity of 184 horsepower and 185 lb-ft of torque. Both drivetrains will be mated to six-speed manual transmission under front-wheel drive configuration. Buyers can also opt for six-speed automatic transmission.
The hatchback is going to feature a new technology, G-Vectoring control system created under sky-active vehicle dynamics techniques. This will enhance the engine’s transmission’s system.
2018 Mazda 3 – Availability Date and Price:
The end of this year is the most likely release period for the 2018 Mazda 3. The pricing should start from $18,720 for the entry level while higher trims go for as much as 24,795. Please note that the MSRP figures and the release date are just mere speculations as the manufacturer is yet to comment on the same.
