The Nissan endeavors to gain momentum in the competitive auto industry with the introduction of the brand new 2018 Nissan Kicks. The Kicks is a global subcompact SUV that matches Nissan’s expectations in the growing car market. The four-wheel drive sub-compact version is undergoing production at a facility in Resende, Rio de Janeiro.
An all-new 2018 Nissan Kicks is based upon the Juke platform, but slightly larger in size. It shares a few character lines with the Maxima, such as roof tails, silver trimmings on the front bumper, and 16-inch steel wheels. The higher trims of the car feature 17-inch alloy wheels along with a few more body color options.
2018 Nissan Kicks – Exterior and Interior Styling
The 2018 Nissan Kicks will sport Nissan’s “V” platform, which also reinforces the Micra hatchback as well as the Sunny sedan. The next-gen Kicks displays chromed grille with boomerang-shaped headlamps on the edges. We are likely to find silver skid plates and stylish fog lamps in the exterior region.
The next-gen Nissan Kicks has a beautiful cabin that complements its exteriors. Various reports claim that this cabin offers best-in-league space and boot. It presents new Gliding wing console design, which showcases light tan and black color schemes.
The new machine receives a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system that comprises around view monitor. There are several elements in the dashboard—instrument cluster, start/stop button, color Multi-info display and an analog speedometer. Inside the cabin, there is a flat-bottomed leather-wrapped steering wheel. The steering wheel showcases integrated controls for Bluetooth Telephony and audio.
Engine and Transmission
The Nissan is yet to unveil details about the drivetrain that powers the new release. Due to the automatic shifter seen in the official release images, we can tell that the redesigned edition comes with an automatic transmission. This model likely gets its juice from a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine, which delivers 188 horsepower.
Alternatively, the Nissan is likely to feature a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter engine unit that produces 170 horsepower. The Nissan Rogue edition uses the same drivetrain.
Price, Availability and Competitors
At this point, pricing for the restyled 2018 Nissan Kicks version remains a mystery. Since it takes Juke’s place in the marketplace, pricing is likely to fall in the $20,000 range.
It should be known that the above pricing is only a rough estimate. In fact, the value of this model could fall slightly lower than the above price due to cheaper-looking materials in the cabin.
The 2018 Nissan Kicks compact SUV likely graces the dealership toward the end of 2018. Its rivals include the likes of Renault Duster, Hyundai Creta, Honda HR-V, and many other models in the same league.
